Struggling to effectively engage your Second Language Learners?
This struggle can lead to:
Declining test scores
Stagnant language growth
Decreased student attendance
Increased dropout rates
Rising behavior issues in class
Feelings of inadequacy
Teacher frustration and burnout
What causes the stress?
-
Lack of Approriate Training
Teachers often lack the training and resources required to effectively address the needs of the rapidly expanding English Language Learner population.
-
Lessons and Materials
Traditional lessons and assessments often do not address the needs of students learning English while simultaneously acquiring new content
-
Assessment and Grading
Inadequate assessments without proper scaffolds and accommodations, along with outdated grading policies, fail to accurately measure English Learners' comprehension and application of content.
The Solution
Empowering teachers with the knowledge and skills needed to enhance English Language Learners' development, enabling students to access the curriculum and thrive alongside their English-speaking peers—all through the expert guidance of Esperanza Wickert.
