Tier 1: Whole Group

Tier II: Small Group

  • Groups (grade level, subject area, specialist, coaches, counselors, team, etc) come together to discuss and set goals to improve EL learning. After establishing goals, coaching, reflection and Actionable Feedback follow.

Tier III: Individual

  • Individual and specialized programming to meet personal goal setting, followed by the BDA (Before, During and After) coaching, reflection and Actionable Feedback

With 38 years of experience in Urban Education with a passion for English as Second Language and the success of ALL Multilinguals, Esperanza collaborates with ALL educators who engineer the school environment to meet the needs of MLs/ELs.

With a BS in Elementary and Kindergarten Education from the Pennsylvania State University, ESL Specialist Certificate and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction (ESL Emphasis) from Kansas State University, she is prepared to support teachers to give access to English Learners in all areas of the curriculum.

She strongly believes that a “Once and Done” approach to professional development is inadequate and advocates for ongoing learning, through training sessions, coaching and 1-1 support.

  • An honest exposure of ELs, exploring life and learning between two languages and cultures. Both are intertwined to reveal the gift one's language and experience brings to their learning, in the question for knowledge, understanding, growth and purpose.
